Lacking the skill and experience of his allies in Night Raid, he makes up for it by becoming more powerful with each battle, with his rapid growth being noted by stronger members such as Akame and Bulat. Tatsumi is widely regarded by many, both allies and enemies, to have an immense amount of hidden potential. After events leading up to another comrade's death, narrowly escaping public execution which ended with his girlfriend in a coma, among a list of heartaches Tatsumi has undergone horrendous growth, now sporting his own " titular Red Eye" (albeit cross-shaped) motif due to a Fusion Dance with his Teigu. Whilst competing in a fighting tournament sponsored by the Empire he unknowingly manages to steal Esdeath's heart, who unceremoniously decides to make Tatsumi her lover, much to his dismay.
After narrowly escaping an evil ploy by sadistic nobles, Tatsumi soon learns of the corruption within the Empire and is recruited into the ranks of Night Raid, whose task is to rid the Empire of this corruption by slaying the wicked. Mine wants there to be no racial discrimination, due to the fact because she is of half-foreign blood, which led her to be targeted by others as a kid.Voiced by: Soma Saito (Japanese), Corey Hartzog (English), Leonel Arias (Latin American Spanish)The main male protagonist of the story who embarked on a quest to the capital in hopes of joining the military and earning enough money to send back to his impoverished village. At the same time, she has demonstrated being very worried about Tatsumi's well being, especially when he has not returned to the hideout (due to having been imprisoned) contemplating how she would have never thought she would become so anxious due to lack of contact with someone. Since having begun to date Tatsumi, she has shown a jealous side, such as getting angry over Leone's usual flirty advances into Tatsumi, as well as lecturing him how he has to refuse such advances firmly as he now has a girlfriend. Over time, she develops romantic feelings for Tatsumi who returns the same feelings and the two having officially entered an intimate relationship. She shows her compassionate side on one occasion by teasing Tatsumi to get his mind off of the death of Susanoo. Despite her cold exterior, she has shown to be warm and kind to those she has opened up to. During his first days in Night Raid, Mine had a tendency to tease Tatsumi, due to him being the newest member, and often saying he wouldn't last. Often quick to anger, and easily irritated with those that she does not know well, Mine is depicted with a cold, temperamental, and considerably aggressive personality. She wears a pink outfit, consisting of a tied shawl with a high collar, a pink long sleeve shirt, a gown, and black stockings with pink shoes. She has very long pink hair tied in twin-tails on the right and left sides of her head, although on occasion it is free-flowing. Mine is a young girl of below-average height. Mine is a self-proclaimed "Genius Sniper", as well as being a sharp-tongued and quick-witted member of the assassin's group, Night Raid.
